TearfulRejection and Happiness

It pains me to see those tear-filled eyes,
When I know in my heart,
That I will never love you,
The same as you love me.

In time though,
You will begin to heal,
And one day you will find your love,
And I will be but a memory.

And I will rejoice,
Because I will know that the pain that I caused,
Did not break you,
But made you stronger.

I will rejoice,
Because I will know that you are happy.
Even though I am still lonely,
And even though at times,
I will think that I had made the wrong choice by letting you go,
I will rejoice.

Because you are happy.
Because you have found your place in the world.
And I will find my place,
Though it will not be with you,
It will be my rightful place,
And then, I shall be happy too.
